Biography

Nura is a Legal Counsel at The Data Lawyers, where she specializes in privacy law, AI regulation, and platform regulation. Her work includes conducting in-depth legal research and the drafting of privacy and AI compliance documents. Nura is described as a proactive and driven team player.

 

Background

Nura holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Amsterdam, where she took a course on Information Law and was part of the Transnational Law Curriculum of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Nura went on to complete a Master’s in Public International Law, writing her thesis on hacktivism in cyber warfare and its classification under international humanitarian law. To further specialize, she pursued a Master’s in Information Law (IViR), focusing on privacy law, AI-regulation and platform regulation. Her thesis explored pay-or-okay consent models in relation to the right to data protection.

 

During her studies, Nura participated in the Business & Human Rights Clinic, was actively involved in SViR (the study association for information law), and worked for an organization specializing in areas such as legal tech. Before joining The Data Lawyers, she gained valuable experience as a paralegal at a law firm involved in collective actions related to privacy law.

 

Nura joined the The Data Lawyers in March 2025.
