Biography

Lora advises Dutch and international clients on various aspects of privacy and data protection law. Lora is an external Data Protection Officer (DPO) for various clients and gained in-house experience with companies in the field of healthcare, artificial intelligence and online platforms. She has experience with implementing and supervising GDPR compliance projects and also assists clients with their IT and data protection contracts and legal proceedings. Lora is a creative, energetic and passionate privacy lawyer with a commercial attitude. 

Background

Lora started her career in 2016 at a niche law firm specialised in technology, media and communication. Lora holds a master's degree in private law from the University of Amsterdam and a master’s degree in Information Law from the University of Amsterdam and – more specifically – the Institute for Information Law (IViR). Lora was a member of the Clinic Law Incubator (www.clinic.nl), with which she is still involved. She was also an active contributor to Stichting Justitia and is currently actively involved with the Association for Young Privacy Lawyers (Jonge Privacy Advocaten Nederland). This is an association for young privacy lawyers to share (practical) knowledge during informal lectures hosted by academics, experienced lawyers and privacy officers. Last but not least, Lora also regularly publishes and speaks about privacy and IT related topics. 

Membership 

Lora is a member of the Association for Privacy Law (Vereniging Privacyrecht) and the Association for Young Privacy Lawyers (Jonge Privacy Advocaten Nederland).
