Biography
Jessie supports The Data Lawyers in a broad range of activities, such as the drafting of legal notices, preparing presentations, proofreading publications and providing admin support. Jessie has a curious and eager mind, an eye for detail and a hands-on mentality.
Background
Jessie completed her Bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Amsterdam, during which she also completed two minors: one in Theoretical Philosophy and one in International Development Studies. Ethics and human rights are great passions of hers. During an exchange with the University of Bologna, she followed a course on Internet Law, which sparked her interest in the field of IT and privacy. Combining all of these interests, she wrote her Bachelor’s thesis on the GDPR in relation to targeted advertising. Jessie is currently obtaining her Master’s degree in International Technology Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam .
Jessie joined The Data Lawyers as a student intern in April 2022 and started as a legal assistant in July 2022.
